
Here we will list current consultative processes regarding hates speech and racism that you can get involved in to bring about important changes in our policy and legislative system.
The Ministry for Justice is currently taking submissions on their proposed amendments to New Zealand’s hate speech laws. HERE is the page that outlines what the proposals mean.
Submissions are open from 25 June to 6 August 2021. You can submit:
- through the Citizen Space website(external link)
- by emailing humanrights@justice.govt.nz, or
- by post to Human Rights, Ministry of Justice, SX10088, Wellington.
